I just bought the first part of my Necron army and was just wondering if anyone could post some of their Necron armies as to give me some ideas for cool paint jobs?
I like those! I don't know if you were trying to go for a new-age tech look, but to me it looks a little bit like they have flesh on their bodies, very evil.
I was browsing the UK GW site and found a section entitled "All About the Necron Destroyer."
GW Online : Warhammer 40,000 : Necrons : All About the Necron Destroyer
I really like the way he did those destroyers, with the green on the brass, could that be applied to a whole army?
i think they have a whole army painted that way on their site...maybe i'm wrong. but yeah you'd easily be able to do that. a destroyer is juts a warrior mounted on a scarab (yeah i know it's an immortal) but scheme wise you just would have a bronze warrior with green shoulder pads...
i didn't use the standard metalic look b/c i think its way too over done, and fanciful bright colours like blues and reds can be very well done, but i don't like the look, makes it too cartoonish for me. the metalic look is quite easy to do however, so it depends how much time you have on your hands. if you look around or do a search on this forum i'm sure you can find some other schemes.
