I had a a chance to meet up with Rabbit when I was in Texas last month, and I mentioned that I was working on a Slaanesh Sorcerer. He really wanted to see some pictures - I'm happy to oblige!
This model is VERY WIP. The base is from a different model, it's used just to get him airborne, I have no real idea what color I'm going to paint it, and the head is giving me fits. The one pictured is just sitting there... I haven't found one that really speaks to me yet...
As always, C&C welcome.
You know he looks a little immobile in this pose right? Like he is floating amidst the air or something... now that is a nice idea there... but not so sorcery! ;Y
If you would bend the wire a little towards the front? ;Y
Thanks to all the people showing faith in me
I sometimes feel that everyone will leave me and they will be on their own...
You could use modelling putty or even Green Stuff to model a swirling vortex of (pink most likely) energy, holding him aloft, as to alleviate the whole "not a very dynamic pose" thing. He would look like he was being suspended airborne, much like a Disc of Tzeentch..
My thoughts otherwise are that it looks good so far, except you might consider a head swap. ;Y
2H - LEGIO HYDRA
You should also reposition his right foot so the toes point downwards. It'll give him far more of a fly-look.
I like the head but maybe you should consider dropping the topknot. The head is also very important when it comes to poses, try to carve some of the topchest away just 1-2mm and then have the head tilting a little forward as if he looks down upon something or someone...lunch perhaps?
I took the liberty of showing what I mean, hope you don't mind.
I'm just chiming in here with a concern for the arm that is holding the staff. Since it is from the Chaos Terminator Lord, isn't the piece a bit oversized on a power armoured body? It is hard to see clearly from this point of view.
Nonetheless, great potential for coolness here. ;Y
