my idea is to convert my HE dragon ( the new plastic kit) into a vaampire dragon, not a zombie dragon, my fluff revolves around the idea that its a vampire HE and the dragon is a vampire, not a undead dragon. so its alvie, not rotting, but anyway, i was wondering if anyone had any ideas for conversions to make the dragon vampirey and how to convert the lord on top to be a vampire... so help here would be appreciated. Im not likely to use this model much but it seems a good idea and will look awesome. ( it already built ( the dragon), the dragon has the spines with the wing/ leather in between each one and the covered head, but i can take the head off and change it for the uncovered head..
any idea would be appreciated. my theme is aiming for like a blood knights color scheme on the dragon and rider, thanks
Well if your're not going for the rotting undead luck, I'm not really sure how to make the dragon look vampirey other than generally making it look evil. I would use the uncovered head simply because the covered one looks very Elfy and I think it could probably look more 'evil' with the uncovered head.
I would probably try to alter the dragon's armour to make it look more generally pointy and evil, and do the same sort of thing with the seat, but really I think the main way this dragon is going to look vampirey is with the paint scheme you use.
The same sort of thing goes for the rider. I'd get rid of any overly 'good' stylings on his armour and such, and make sure he gets painted in a dark, brooding vampirey style. If you have a collection of vampire counts bitz they might come in handy!
Thou shalt remember:
Warhammer Fantasy armies do NOT have Codices. They have Army Books.

Why not try some pointy plate armour on the dragon like this one.
How about giving it big fangs? Maybe a purple cape... No?
Paint it's skin rather pale and give the eyes a good hard shade is all I can think of right now.
Up, up and away!
