Just finished up my latest project - A Grey Knight Terminator (done up with metallics). I don't usually use that much metallics on my projects but this one called for it. Metallics are not my favorite but I used a couple of ink glazes during the highlights to give it a subtle tint. In the future I would probably do more.
I think the force weapon came out better than I had anticipated and I do love the tarnish patina on the chaos trophy (on the base).
Comments and critiques are always welcome.
wow looks great man;Y
im totaly loving this whole model:happy:
Loss is acceptable, Failure is not!
Your usual good stuff. I can't critique it.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
Very fine, Mike, as per ususal.
The only thing I can find to comment on really is the helmet.
It seems a little over-dark companed to the rest of the model, especially considering that the head/face should probably be the focal point of the piece.
I can see it is shaded correctly for his pose though, so I can agree with what you've done at the same time...
Aside from that, it is a lovely mini, and you have kept up your very high standards!
Is this for a client, or a keeper...?

This one is going to a new home. Yeah I think the pics are a little bit darker than I would have liked. Especially on the right hand side of the picture. The helmet may not be as bright - though the whole figure got the same treatment as far as highlights go.
The painting on the GK Termie is excellent... actually is your usual style of painting!
But I fell in love with the base of the guy!
Thanks to all the people showing faith in me
I sometimes feel that everyone will leave me and they will be on their own...
Be proud man, that is one kick-ass Termy!!

a question that sometimes drives me hazy: am i or are the others crazy? ~ albert einstein
LOL Thanks for the comments guys! To be honest I am not disappointed with the figure. I think my approach to a mostly metallic figure will be a bit different in the future, but overall I think it works. There are definitely a few spots that I am not 100% satisfied with but so it goes...
The figure is pinned and glued right into the cork. Basically 2 holes in the feet, glued in some paperclips, pushed it into the cork where I wanted him to be and then glued him into place once I was done painting.
Fantastic Detailing and Overall Painting.
Very good work on just everything man, -applauds-
Is that a chaos termi lord spike piece I see on the base? I like it
Why yes - yes it is one of the plastic Chaos Terminator Lord spikes...
