Been collecting nids lately, after been doing eldar for probably 2 years or so, and I now have someone close to about 1000 points. I have had the scheme thought of for a while. Finally got around to painting up two gaunts. Opinions on the scheme?

I don't really like a whole bunch of "vibrant" colors on nids.
Like the pink, then the green, then the blue carapace.
I like trying to stick with 2-3 colors that go together, usually darker ones.
How did you get their skin with the bleached bone to look so clean?
Did you primer all of that white?
i have to agree
i to am not to into the brights but the blue and bone are amazing man8X
rep for the great job;Y ya but I'm not too into the other bright colors sorry

I wanted to have different color nids because you see the darker ones all the time. Thats why the colors are brighter. And The name of my fleet is Hydra, so the wave of blue carapace will be nice when I am done. I got the bleach bone done the way it is with spray paint. Found a can at my local store. Thought it would make it easy to get some nids done xD
Thanks for the comments! ^^

Perhaps as the lone voice of dissent here, but I'm not really too fond of the bone that you use. I would think that a slightly darker color (but not too dark since you've already said you don't like them too dark) would really make that nice blue pop.
I'm seeing the blue as the focus color for the models and so a stronger contrast that would bring it out would really strengthen it. If you wanted the bone to be the focus, I would tone down the blue so it doesn't steal the show.

Nothing beside remains
I agree with Silmerosse a bit on darkening the bone.
Other than that the only thing I don't think that fits really well with the blue, is the pink. It just doesn't seam to go well with the blue to me. Maybe trade it with like a dark orange (not just because orange is my favorite color, but because orange goes well with blue), like Blazing Orange.
And Stormwind, is it just me or does the bleach bone look different in the picture than what it actually looks like?
