I'm going to be putting together a Tomb Scorpion for my Tomb Kings army and am looking for some advice on how to go about it. The claws and stinger look simple enough to pin, the part that worries me are the legs. They look rather thin for pinning. Further, how are they attached to the base? It's a fairly heavy model and most of it's bulk is held up away from the base on those skinny little legs.
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains
The legs won't hold any weight.
Rest the main body on the base.
If you insist on the model being off the ground, elevate it with a blob of greenstuff (nobody will see it underneath) or pin it to the base with longer pins.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
Lol, I have 4, in different positions. My 1st ever scorp is glued onto the base by te tips of 4 legs only, and it holds fine Serioulsly... is the glue i use uber glue or something? Nope, just standard GW glue. Never used a pin in my life. All you need is patience. Ill like some pics of my 4 Scorps for you to have a look.
Check these 4. The first is the standard Scorp, the other 3 re converted a bit...
