Here are some WIP's of my Chaos Marine Patrol Boat.
My friend and I have been talking for some time about doing marine battles and making some new vehicles. This was my first attempt based on the combination of a military Patrol Boat and a D-day Higgins craft. The boat can comfortably fit a 10 man squad of marines and is armed with 2 sponson mounted heavy bolters and a pintle mounted storm bolter.
I made the majority of the boat from sheet styrene, a small GI joe tank for the pilot house and engine casing, a forge world search light, some spiky bits, and a few Baneblade panels. The back door is capable of being raised or lowered via faux hydraulics and held in place with small rare earth magnets.
The second set of shots show more of the detail on the inside of the craft. I wanted it to appear as if the Marine "Captain:" of the vessel has been doing patrols for hundreds of years and collected a nice assortment of random booty from those poor souls that wander into his territory. There are assorted tools, fuel jugs, skulls, guns, helmets, etc.
This vehicle is part of a series of Chaos undivided marine vessels I want to make.
Please let me know what you think. I'd love to hear some feedback
great work! i like the idea and the execution of it, very nice. my only question is that would a like patrol boat liek that be more of a LotD kinda vehicle and less of a CSM vehicle? just wondering. cant wait too see more pics

"Dont Judge Me Monkey"
A very nicely finished model you have! 8Y I've always wanted to convert one of those Revell HMCS Snowberry Corvettes into some form of imperial patrol boat...I'll get there eventually
I second the request for bigger pictures, if possible, then I can better praise the work you have put into this! *reps*
Thanks everyone for the positive response.
In answer to a few questions, the main reason I made this boat Chaos Marines instead of LOTD, is cause I already have a good sized chaos force and have been adding more chaos undivided vehicles to it. This boat will be able to ferry a 10 man squad, where as the next boat I'm building will be able to ferry 1 small tank, aka a predator or a vindicator.
My friend and I are going to make an archipelago type table similar to the orkipelego that's in the Apoc. book. He is in the process of making his own Space Marine Boats for it.
Here's a few more larger images, I'll do a second post with more.
reps! really like the idea!
hot digity awesome!
I award you 100 internets and some rep!
A landing craft, excellent idea and nicely executed thusfar. I'm sure glad I found this forum.
Now how do I vote these 'reps'?
The slow learning Blackadder
Good execution! I have been planning these for a long time, I've always wanted to do
a scenario that matches D-Day.
And here I thought my landing craft needed to look like Rhino's (because of the STC's)...
But these are great!
