Yes, I know it's my name. Probably because I got bored I put together Captain Axyrus of the Eighth Company in my Space Marine chapter, the Black Phoenixes*.
And here's one of him before he was subjected to (more) paint:
His lightning claws:
His right lightning claw was from the Mk2 veterans boxed set with a green stuff cable and the claw on the left was made out of the Space Marine Comander's power fist. The green stuff detail was a cast from the other lightning claw and the actual blades are 2mm plasticard carved to shape.
Hope you like him.
*Until recently the Shadows of Death
Wow! He's cool I like what you have done with the lightning claws. I may have to try that actually If you feel like it, pop along to my thread and look for the Dark angel veteran with twin lightning claws Personally though I like this pose more as it's very slashy *reps*
Thanks! I think I will try and find that thread. I had to pose him like that so that the metal claw wouldn't overbalance him. I'm just glad it worked.
Have you tried glueing bits of metal under the base? When you buy metal models they come with those tabs of excess metal. Try superglueing one or two of them on the opposite side of where the heavy bit is...if that makes sense sorry if it doesn't.
Yeah... Forgot about that. And don't worry, it did make sense to me, which I think was you intention.
Very nicely done. Always nice to put yourself in the army.
