In the Apocalypse rulebook, the datasheet for the Baneblade states that two extra sponsons can be added. Does the plastic kit contain the parts for this?
Heh, yeah right. They do not come with extra sponsons and if you try to find them on a bits store they are usually around $20
Just yet another lame attempt to get you to buy a second baneblade.;o
Unfortunately, it does not. You can, however, probably find the bitz separately.

Thanks, and yeah, I thought as much.
Man, that's a shame. I still love you, Baneblade, why must you hurt me!
Baneblades were build to hurt you.
You can buy all the bitz you want on Ebay and reasonably priced too. Of course, if you're really into masochism you can make your own.
One who knows,
There are a couple of ways to deal with this, IMHO:
1 Buy two Baneblades. One of them can have four sponsons, the other can have 14 side armour. (Not the cheapest alternative, but it's what I ended up doing)
2. Build new sponsons out of spare ones from Leman Russ tanks. They won't look the same as the real thing, but the side armour plating for the Baneblade is in sections, so that the original sponsons can be mounted rear, centre or front. So, you could model on the four smaller Leman Russ mounts, and plate up the rest as normal. Only problem is, you would have single guns in each one. So you then have to do more modelling to make the guns look like twin linked weapons. Not simple, and I don't even know if it would work, but could be worth a try.
3. Build new sponsons from Cityfight buildings, spares, scraps and bits and plastic card. Not for the novice, but it might be a good project for anyone who hasn't got the skill to scratch build an entire tank, but wants to start somewhere. Remember that they don't have to match the original ones, they only have to match each other and look good on the tank. In fact if you build four decent weapon mounts, you will then have the original sponsons left over to sell to your less talented mates.
Food for thought, and there are now plenty of Baneblade and other vehicle conversions on GW and other websites for inspiration.

Zapp: You see the killbots have a preset kill limit. Knowing their weakness, I sent wave after wave of my own men at them until they reached their limit and shut down.
