Welcome to Librarium Online!
Though everything is pretty much in the planning stages at the moment (as i try to unclog the cash flow problem!) I am planning a 2000pt. Vostroyan army. Though i have done little when it comes to conversions, i got an idea the other day while browsing the GW site. A number of Baneblade conversions were being featured (the Commissar Yarrick model, I felt, was to die for!) Now since, to me, the Vostroyans appear to be of Russian origin, and because I'm old and on a personal level I appreciate really old looking stuff, I am considering converting a Baneblade to look vaguely like something from the Napoleonic war era. Obviously it won't be horse drawn, but i could cut the head, shoulders and front legs off two horse models and fix them to the front of the tank (think hood ornaments) as well as attach several lanterns to the sides of the turret, again to give it that period look.
To do it up right, I wonder if there are 25mm models of Napoleon war carriages, etc., out there somewhere, with useful sprues, that I just can't find.
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
Tanks. .. er. . .Thanks!
look for reaper horse and carriage - although i think you'd do better scratch building it personally (with those GW scenery lanterns - for that description anyway)
