I'm in the process of building a pirate dwarf army, after being inspired by a mixture of the Avatars of War Dwarf Thunderlord and images of the CSS Virginia. I've started work on my Pirate Dwarf Ironclad. The main structure is done, now I need to add the plasticard plates. I was asked in another thread to post pics of her, so here they are.
She's far from finished, but these should give you a rough idea of what she looks like
Let me know what you think.
It's already looking rather awesome! I know it's just the basic shape but so far I can see what it's going to look like and i'm impressed.
It's going to have a lot of cannons, isn't it.. Gun Deck FTW!
Eldar ~7k, Orks ~11k, Tyranids ~1k5, Space Wolves ~1k
Nice I like how's you've modelled it on an ironclad! It could use a lot more detailing, rivets and other things to make it more realistic though.
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.
Voor alle nederlanders:
The Dutch Legion
And what would be awesome is if the front ramp/prow thing was a stylsed dwarf beard, and the bridge was a helmet. That would be cool.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
really nice idea, very ACW Ironclad looking, cant wait to see the finished article
Everything you have been told is a lie!
That's pretty sweet so far. Can't wait till it's done, it'll be one awesome Ship.
Very nice, going to have to show this to my local dwarf players and watch them drool. Have ya thought about makeing the anchor an anvil? Maybe one that looks like it could be launched at an enemy ship when the time is right.
