OK, after a failing last time, I hope to actually get more work done in here than the last time, with all my spare time and the putty I have left, lets get building!
The possessed thread will stay as it is, unless admins have other ideas, but I wanted a place to chuck my small plague marine squad that wouldn't interfere with the possessed thread.

needs more festering wounds!
When does Nurgle not need more festering wounds. Nice work so far... the more work you do with the putty, the more detail you can manage and the more possibilities. Go crazy!
Eldar ~7k, Orks ~11k, Tyranids ~1k5, Space Wolves ~1k
I also have pictures of the lord, I just wish I had more lights to show off some of the smaller stuff that gets squished together when there is nothing to really show it off, I think he still could use some more mutations and that plasma pistol needs a line going to his power pack or armour I reckon, but the most important thing is the wings which I will try and do right now as I've put them off long enough already, and the limp arm holding the scythe I will get around to fixing it so its not so feminine.

I'm surprised there aren't more people commenting, so I'll flame you mercilessly so you won't get lonely. ; )
First off, I'm a Chaos player and convertoholic, but I despise the beer-belly PM look. On *my* Marines.
There. I said it, and once is enough. I understand it's your army, and you don't mind. Let's move on.
That said, I admire your willingness to brutally slash and smash models into something ... better.
You're a modeler after my own heart. Right. Now, on to the flaming proper -The trouble with beefed-up torsos and oversize heads is the Chaos Dwarf look.mafoia005.jpg
This guy seems to have it. Maybe it's just the angle . . .Nice. I've got this OCD thing about removing flash and mould lines before assembly, but that's me.mafoia006.jpgNice sword. What's up with the guitar string?mafoia009.jpgHeh. Kind of an Anxious Beetlejuice thing going on, there. Ork gun?mafoia011.jpgHmmm. Somewhat dwarfish, again.mafoia013.jpg
I'd have clipped off the ammo belt to get a better fit on the sword grip, then reattached it.Another nice sword. Nice work on the antlers, too. What's going on with that backpack?mafoia012.jpgI dislike the PM Droopy Drawers tabard thingy, too. It exaggerates the Dwarf effect.mafoia008.jpg
Visually, it tends to pull the waist down to the knees, like a bow-legged teenager "sagging".
Again, your call there. [shrug] I'm just sayin' . . .Does the top guy's backpack have nozzles on it anywhere?the 2 plasma gentlemen
I'm not wild about the nightstick pistol grip on the bottom one.
I tend to shorten those. Both have good head choices, though. [kudo]Muahaha! Careful what you wish for . . .Any C&C is welcomePaint? Seriously, other than Nurglings and basing, I certainly wouldn't call these ... understated.I'd really like any ideas to what is missing for my nurgle boysI went with the consumptive, rather than bloated, look myself.I want to add more mutations or just some sickly colors to them but I'm not really sure how
There are just too many cool bits in a Zombie box not to do so, imo.
I was only tempted to use the Mutation Sprue on my now-nerfed Possessed. YMMV.How's that for timing? You edited the post as I was still responding. :- )the chosen
I'll keep the rest of my comments brief -Have you named these guys yet?regular2.jpg
I dub the first guy 'Vin'.Spike.regular.jpgMiles Long.plasmaccw.jpgSkully.plasma2.jpgSmiley.plasma1-1.jpgWings.plasma3.jpgVlad.champion.jpgGrille.bearer.jpgNice use of the Biker arm. Try and post a close-up of that face.nurglelord.jpg
Looks like some serious hack and slash there. I like that. :- )
Dude, you totally own. Themed, one-of-a-kind armies are where it's at, imo.
Bits boxes must quake with fear at the mere whisper of "Duane". X- D
Keep up the good work!

And what exactly is a "consumptive" look? Examples?
The original drawing for him was a lot easier to fit details into than the actual creation, I did draw him in mind to make the character too, but just had no idea how small these guys are until they are sitting in front of you.
I only made the chosen because I figured, I have a ton of ammo pouches, pistols left over and other tidbits, what can I do with them?
Thanks for all the words, I've been wondering what I've done wrong to not get any comments, maybe this is where I turn it around, I just finished the silver on 2 of the chosen, happy to put em up if you care to look?
and a close up of the nurgle lords head, as per request
The only problem I'm having with paint is that most people tend to paint their entire squad the same color for mutations and armor, I want the armor differentiated from the puss-y parts and the only thing I can think of is a bright yellow to match the rest of my army so far.
Last edited by omgitsduane; November 18th, 2008 at 12:35. Reason: Update
Some pretty interesting ideas here and nice to see the progression throughout the posts. The final images of the lord and champion look really awesome, especially the lords mask. I also like your drawing skills .
So there hasn't been much updates lately, I've been fairly busy and I can't paint the rest of the guys because I'm lost for the paint I want (white and black are both TOO watered down to use), so I figured I'd give making my own ghazzkull thraka a shot, I had "green-prints" but the camera randomly deleted them and I forgot take the picture again so its just what I have so far. the idea and the torso.

The stompa design is underway slowly, I also intend to buy a pack of boyz and convert them into ard boys just by using sections of plasticard cut and glued around their bodies, simple but has looked really good in other peoples examples.
I am ALSO in the production of another 3 warbuggies, made from designs I did during a boring day in, I have ones base almost finished and am waiting to decide on a driver for it and also some smaller details like armor and rivets.

Sorry for no details but pictures say more anyway
Some work over a very long long period of time, these have been needing a new photo for ages and here is it. I have the base of legs made up for them, still trying to build up the courage to MAKE the legs, I think plasticard would be easier, I'll be in the city tomorrow so I'll see how that goes. If I can find some the right size, I'll do them tomorrow!
Hows everyone going? C&C PLEASE!!?!!1
