    1k sons conversions

Hi all, I am back with another conversion. Not wanting to go out an actually spend money on metal 1k sons for my chaos army I took the initiative and used what was on hand to convert some up.

Without any further ado, here they are!

The basic 1k sons were done simply using the heads from fantasy chaos warriors, possessed backpacks and various bits and bobs from the vehicle accessory sprues. The sorcerer was modeled with wings so that he can double as the leader of the squad ( with appropriate big gun to represent doombolt) and as a chaos lord w/ MoT, wings and a daemon weapon.

Thanks for taking a gander and look for my berzerker conversions coming soon!

Very impressive iron Angel. Just a quick question. Are Thousand Sons suppose to be just spirits in armour? If so the the aspring champion is obviosly a Dark Angels sniper scout in disguise ready to take out his fellow "partners" 0:.

But I love the Aspring Champion anyways

Arn't Thousand Sons Champions unbound sorcerers. Everyone in the legion except Sorcerers were turned to dust and bound to their suits. So a leader with no helmet is no problem.

Anyway, great models. I kinda like them better then the actual models. Those are a little too egyptianay.

Thanks for the words of praise one and all!

These are actually the second task in a long line of conversions I am doing. The first was my Cypher conversion which can probably be found a few pages back while next will be berzerkers using posessed + berzerker + various other bits, a whole squad of fallen angels, turning chaos spawn into IG sentinels, daemonically posessing a landraider and 2x vindis as well as converting my terminator squad though at the moment I am unsure as to whether I am going to convert them beyond having combi plasmas.

Very nice conversions. I'm not sure they quite fit my vision of rubric marines (too individual for mindless automatons), but that's just a personal preference. They still look great.

I dont know, were they individual before being destroyed by the rubric? Or have they changed armour since then?
The name refers to facial hair, not playing style.
