Having been playing Chaos for far too long now, and deciding (read: beign roped into) going into a GT, it's time to get started on painting my army.
And I've chosen the Alpha Legion over the Black Legion, as after painting one army black, highlighting it gets a tad tiresome.
I've always liked the Alpha Legion (not as much as the World Eaters, mind you.), ever since the first Dawn of War and a certain Sorceror named Sindri. However, back then, I had slaughter and skulls on the mind. Now, I move on to an Undivided front.
So, here we have the first marine, compelte bar some basing and his eyes.
Comments, critique all welcome.
We are Legion!
And by the way minus t, I am Alpharius.

I like it. Can't really comment on the paintjob much cause i'm not that experienced in actual painting (and my painting jargon consists of brush and paint), but an army of them would look sweet.
FOR THE EMPEROR!
VEry nice. A whole load of guys like this will be coolius maximus, or whatever it is these youngsters are saying these days.
Good job Marty. Now.. if you could only make it to the LO meet for one day to show them off... :C

Very nice! Hope to see the whole army soon
Nice work, you should paint the eyes a strong bright red. I think you should change the colour of the top knot, it looks a bit odd, perhaps grey to white would look better. The blank shoulder pad needs some evil scrawllings on it to show that he is really anoyed that his boss wont let him wear chevrons. Dont forget to silver up the face grill too.
Your leader should have some sick dragon scale cloak too.
I have now actually painted the eyes and the shoulderpad now has a free-hand Hydra icon on it.
Picture changed to show the extra stuff.
Hold up, we can't all be Alpharius, can we?Originally Posted by Martox
And I definately am him, so I guess we're going to run into problems.
Anyway, really nice painting dude, though I would suggest trying another base colour, it seems a little bland at the moment, and really doesn't help show off the mini.
Also, perhaps a final 'edge' highlight for the blue would be a nice addition?
It would really help make the mini 'pop'.
minus_t's painting log! Now with: More Wolves and Blue Robots!
