    Waste of paint?

I have one of those spray guns where you put the paint in the can and use the propellant to spray it. However, I can not find any paint that matches midnight blue from GW. So I was wondering if I could put the paint in the sprayer and have enough to paint 120 gaunts, or would should I just find a high quality spray paint? The only thing is that I don't want to paint a small amount of gaunts just to run out of paint.
Please help, I am in a real predicament.
Oh, and I don't have enough friends that paint to try the group painting.
    Thank you

I think that if you dilute it properly it should cover at least most of them.
    Up, up and away!

Any reason you don't want to just paint them. I don't think there is anyway to actually do that without running out of paint in the pot...

Probably since there is so many gaunts to paint. I would suggest just water the paint down properly (ask someone around here about it) and maybe just shell out a bit more money for another 1 - 2 pots of paint. Sure beats painting 120 gaunts by hand.

Yeah but you will use twice as much paint then if you painted it by hand. Also if you water it down enough to make it work for all those you will no longer have the colour you are looking for. Also you will not have any detail specific painting either.

I mean when you are painting a house think of how much paint needed to be put into the canister to cover maybe 1.4th of the house...it is about double the amount it would take if you paint it by hand. So it will be the same for these, the only problem is the paint pots don't have enough paint to put into the canister to even use it...

You have to fill it to a certain point before you can even use it. So I am just saying it isn't a good idea to use a sprayer to paint models such as these. And considering gaunts are small you will lose a lot of paint on the paper or wherever you happen to be spraying them.

Well I'm not much of a painter, and I thought he was talking about a small airbrush not a spray gun (I actually have alot of experience with them) yeah a full on spray gun wont really work for painting gaunts.

Though you can put a beautiful lacquer on your furniture.

If it is a small airbrush it will work. If it is a spray gun as he said it won't.

I meant a small airbrush. I just don't have the patience to paint 120 gaunts. I have sat down and painted 2 of them once and by then I was going insane by purple and I swear I was going to puke. THEY ALL LOOK ALIKE!

I think you should be able to to it with a small airbrush but it would still take twice as much paint....I mean it is worth a shot to see how many you can get done...But I think it would be a waste of paint.

Do you know of any spray paints that might be close to the color midnight blue? I could use that and it could probably last my entire army.
