Yo can someone help me im trying to think of conversions for thousand sons
We are the Ultramarines, the Sons of Guilliman. Whilst we draw breath, we stand. Whilst we stand, we fight. Whilst we fight, we prevail. Nothing shall stay our wrath.
Marneus Calgar, Chapter Master of the Ultramarines.
Just grab a box of Chaos Space Marines, a modelling knife and start gluing things together...
Unless you want conversions for a particular purpose - in which case we'd appreciate if you actually bother telling us what it is, so we can come up with more specific suggestions.
By fluff, Thousand Sons CSM are spirits and dust locked inside their armor. Don't see much scope for conversion there.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
You can go for some normal guys converted with plastic card out of the normal boxed set. You could use chaos warrior heads and make them look preheresy. You could add books and scrolls to make them look arcane. Adding in egyption style hyroglyphics would add a cool theme in there. You could make them totally mutated over and say these guys are new 'thousand sons' but the rubric of arhiman was read incorrectly and they became prone not immune to mutation.
Theres TONNES of stuff you can do!
Maybe some Tomb King conersions? They look a lot like thousand suns. Someone said fluff wise they were spirits trapped in armor, why not have some bones in there
What? You didn't say anything about circular saws.
I think that the Thousand Sons boxed set is poseable enough that you do not need to make any major changes. I think you can quite easily make 2-3 squads looking totally different from just that boxed set.
Also, if you are buying the thousand sons, I can guess whos gonna be dragged into painting them. (Heres a hint for anyone else, his name begins with an R, Ends with an R and he is me.)
P.S.: Rob, in reference to your signature, i've already told you, the Thousand Sons 'war cry' is 'All is Dust!'. 'Dust in the Wind' is a song by Kansas. Don't get the two mixed up.
