does anyone have any painting tips on how to paint a camo pattern on games workshop space marines? without the paint scheme looking terrible? im new to painting and not that good. so any help would be apreciated.
Start on a piece of paper. Paint about 1" worth of camo in the size you want the camo. Then do it in every color you like, and try different styles for each color choice (spots, stripes, streaks, leafs, digital). When you are done, you could scan that paper and post it up on LO for some tips or help deciding.

Well, one point I advice would be not to use too many colors. I'd say three or four colors should be enough.
My Ork Kommandoz have city camo consisting of black, codex grey and kommando khaki (and a bit of inking for good measure)
For the pattern on marine powered armor I think stripe camo would be good (and comparatively easy to paint, but that depends on your skills)
It ain't easy bein' green... :-)
