My first attempt at a Crimson Fist Marine.
what are your thoughts lol?
Test marine Crimson Fist by ~zechsmequise on deviantART
Looks good. Personally, I would add a lot more red. ATM, he looks like an ultra marine with a red fist. Make the other first red, and add some red trim, and you have a winning model
Storm: One thing he will have to watch for is that fluff wise, two red fists means that the marine is a vet. Or at least thats how it is IIRC.
GG: Its looking okay. Good job. The bolters a bit messy, but then that isn't a problem as its just a test marine.
Something I would suggest is maybe paint up a couple more but with different ways of doing the blue, and darker colours, then you have more to compare. You could then also take a picture of them all to post up for more feedback.
Yeah what Stormchaser said, paint one of the edges of the shoulderpads (or both) with red. It will look more crimsony fisty like;Y.
CHK CHK BOOM!
For the most part, Crimson Fists don't have a ton of red on them. Their left fist is red (unless they're veterans and then both fists are red), and I would paint eyes and purity seals red, but generally Crimson Fists are blue.
The model looks really good. My only suggestion would be maybe to add a second highlight in between your base color and the highlight you have now. The shin pads especially look a little flat to me. Also, I would suggest a brighter highlight on his hand to make the red really pop out.
I would go with a darker blue (an imperial blue). Otherwise not a bad start.

Ok, iv read your suggestions and this is what iv come out with
Crimson First Test Marine Done by ~zechsmequise on deviantART
The Blue is darker than shown as the light makes it seem brighter.
The base isnt done due to that im deciding between salamaders and Crimson Fists
I'll be posting a salamader in the next couple of days and i hope you'll give me your thought's on it aswell as this marine.
It looks a lot better now I think. The red trims do help break up the blue a bit while at the same time not taking away from it either.
Looking forward to seeing the Sallie.
i would say use a bit more of the middle color, on your blue, maybe try out some blending otherwise its looking good.
