So i need good looking battlegrounds but they (quite obviously) need to be as cheap as possible, so i wanted to know what you veterans thought, i know myself being a fellow veteran should have some ideas but i seem to have had a total mental shutdown. (56ttr4liubrev43vbgf7

Look around your house, rummage through the bin and eat stuff just for the packaging. Use the bits you find/dont eat and use your imagination to create terrain. Also if you can get your hands on pva, card and polystyrine then you can make some pretty awesome stuff, again, with imagination. I hope you've got imagination!

There are alot of ways to make cheep battlegrounds... i meen all you need is a little immagination,

Glue rockes to a cardboard base and then paint... there you have rocks
Glue twigs to a cardboard base and then paint... there you have dead trees
I you can get a hold of sawdust... you glue it to a base and paint... there you have hills of grass or sand...
these are really cheep ways to make terrain, if you dond mind spending a few buckes you can get foam board and there are no limits to what you can make with that...
here is a link to a tuorial i wrote
Missle silo tutorial
Tonight when i get home ill post more images of stuff i made so to give you ideas

I have never been able to find foam board. I just use stuff i can find. Im tempted just to buy the plastic terrain kits. By the way - cool missile silo

Basically just grab what you can and use your imagination...
The best advice I can give

I can't say there is a standard way of making cheap terrain.
Only cheap stuff I can think of right now is to make hill by plasing book or other stuff under the green cloth you proparbly are using.
That's the GW way of cheap terrain...

When i first started out I was using shoe boxs and warhammer boxs as terrain! It was horrible beause it didnt look like a battlefeild it looked like toy story. Its no fun. You need good terrain.

I've got a small pool table in my garage, do you think it would make a decent battle board? Its 3'x6'.

It's fully usable, but maybe not the proper size.
But then again, small tables tend to make relly bloody battles too! Really testing your generalship.

There should be a lot of different terrain "brands" out there, and I know some of them are cheap... have a look for them.

I live in the town that the Masters golf tournament takes place in. i got some grocery store 'ere in town to sell me this big golf course display they had in the beer aisle..it's great,it already had hills and trees and a pond, and just a little paint turned the sand traps into blast craters, and i only ended up paying $10 for it
