Hi guys. Here are the first conversions fro my revamped Ultramarine Army for 5th. Ed.
These are the first Marines that i have converted in a long while. Please let me know what you think. I am doing the characters first, then I will assemble the squadies. By the time I am done, I want a full company. I have just about settled on the fourth, since with the interim master makes for all sorts of fun to be had with very fluid fluff.
Anyway, I hope y'all enjoy.
They look cool. I see a bunch of black templar bits in there to. I think they were a good choice to make characters with. But, the 3rd down's shoulders, look a little off.
Hey! Look at the little.... Oh ****!
Yeh, I used the BT parts for these guys just to make them different & more gothic feeling. The Bt bitz are some of the niced GW has put to plastic, & they look nice with a little modification for justabout any chapter. Creative uses of sandpaper, files, and putty can make them work for just about any marine chapter.
Thank you for the kind words.
Nice conversions... I really like them!
One quick question here... in the third guy the belt buckle, being a U, is casted? If it not you have made an excellent job there!
Thanks to all the people showing faith in me
I sometimes feel that everyone will leave me and they will be on their own...
To make the emblem, you just need to draw it out in the putty w/ a needle chucked into a pin-vise. After the stuff sets up, you can cut it out with a knife. Add a small blob of putty fopr the skull, add eye sockets with a toothpick, and the teeth with a knife blade. A little practice, and you can make decent UM emblems.
I hope this helps.
And thank you for the nice words.
