Isn't Skulltaker supposed to be red?
Hah, I kid.
Anyway, I like how dark the skulls on his cloak are. Gives the impression that they've had the flesh charred off them.
He is surely painted nice... one thing though!!! Black blade? Add some color... purple for instance! Blue... Green...
Thanks to all the people showing faith in me
I sometimes feel that everyone will leave me and they will be on their own...
Thanks for the replies.
I thought about doing the blade in some sort of color, but I thought black looked best. I just can't see him w/ a green or purple blade and doing red would have been too much.
He is good, I think he looks well painted. I like the cloak with all the skulls on it the most. I think it looks very graphically bloodthirsty the way you have painted it. I also think his base is ok, looks like rugged ground, very appropriate for on of Khorne's psychos. You can improve your basing skills by practising on several bases with no models on them, it gives you an area whre it will cost little if you make mistakes and you can experiment with all kinds of fun. Again I think the model is well painted, the sword is good too, very threatening with those colours.
looks really nice, i would keep the blade black, i think like you say it would be too much red if you did it red aswell, nice model
Back in the zone!
The camera doesn't really show it, but the inside od the cloak and tongue are coated w/ a glossy hardcoat and the rest is done with a matte. I did the cloak that way to look like leather.
