ShoNuff's Modelling and Painting log -WIP-

Well I can't put my models and the painting i did on them in the Scenery forum now, can I?
So it's time to start my own modelling and conversion and even painting log. Hope I can keep this going. *smirks*

I think i'll start this off a little different. Going to make a bloodbowl model.
I play Orcs and Goblins and need me a star troll player.

I got my hands on a storage tub FULL of Heroclix figures and Mageknight.

See? Anyway, I needed a troll mini and found me this one:

It aint pretty, but I can see some model potential. lets take a look at him.
    Big, Dumb..carrying two rocks...hor-..Two rocks?

Okay Step one..Lose the clicky base..

Although Bloodbowl has it's shares of illegal weapons on the field, My trolls needs no steekin weapons..
Lets take his weapons away....both of them . (movie refrence?)

Need new fists...lets goback to the Clix models for some proper fists for my new Star player Troll.
    Hey..living Balista....you don't need those hands...

    more coming...

    Sho: out.

Rome wasn't built in a day, Either should good scenery.

Wow, my friend's kid would go nuts over that bin of Heroclix models! He'd dive into it like it was a swimming pool.

This looks very cool. I'm anxious to see what you do.

P.S. I guess since this is both a modeling and a painting thread, it can go in either forum. I'm assuming you want it here, but if you'd rather it be in modeling, send me a dollar and I'll consider it.

    Sin City, right?

Very cool. Maybe next time I visit the family, I'll dig up some old heroclix and see if I can find anything useful.

Here's another movie quote for you -

"Am I the meanest? Am I the prettiest? Am I the baddest mo-fo, low-down, around town? Well, who am I?"

So i got the new hands glued on... and the body off the base. Time to put some pants on "Punch Rockgroin" here.

Definitely going to sand it down, smooth it out. I will work on it after it dries.

"Stump Junkman" here got a huge codpiece, but I'm debating putting a huge ring through the codpiece, maybe a skull through the ring too...

Yeah, they are a bit, but alot of it is the huge groin area (had to cover the "face?" they had there originally. Plus, the model's legs are a bit thick and stunted.

I'm going to try to see what I can File down when I file the greenstuff smooth.

    *Update*
Trimmed the pants down. Thinned them a lot!. Looks better. Thanks for the advice.

I cut down the beard, it looked too stupid. So i gave him a nasty goatee.

And then fixed the skin underneath.

    TBC....

I can't quite tell from the pictures, but it almost seems like the section of arm you restored with greenstuff is going to stick out like a sore thumb. His body is very "scaly" or "rocky" (like the Thing), except that particular section seems like it'll be smooth.

It's otherwise coming along very nicely.
