Hi I am going to paint my Khorne dogs to look kind of molten or red hot as if straight out of the forge or magma pit.
How do I make that color?
I mean the Balrog look where it is molten then with a darker crust ? Thanks
Have a quick look through this it may help...........then again it may not, but it is still a interesting read.

That's a technique known as Blending. Where you blend the colours together to get a smooth transition. In this case, it's going through a cool color, black, to a hot color, white, while still flowing through, red, orange, and yellow.
I' ve got a Guide to paint the Balrog, here' s what it says for the Lava Bits:
1. Undercoat with Skull White, then bae it with Fiery Orange.
2. Apply a Wash of Red Gore.
3. Highlight with Golden Yellow, and Skull White.
4. Add a glaze of Yellow Ink.
I hope this helps you!
