A crazy invention of your own devising (be sure to post down below)
Hellos, everyone. Recently, I posted a thread asking how to strip minis' paint. So far, the lacquer thinner has been working well .
So, the mini that has been soaking was my Scar-veteran (oldblood, whatever.) However, the only problem is that I'm not sure what to paint him, so I'm asking you guys. I do know that he will have the sacred spawning of Tzunki.

pink skin, white higlights, white scales, scratchbuild some sunglasses, white rims, black lenses, sculpt long hair, blonde colouring, replace weapon with shopping bag, replace shield with purse. Paint lipstick with bright red, make over-applied eyeshadow with ice blue, paint "Hoh'lis'tr" on the chest, after bulking it up with greenstuff, (http://www.librarium-online.com/foru...ml#post1181676 <--- How to), To finish it off, paint "Barh'ber'uh" on the base.
I kid, of course. Ithink you should do the bone skin, brown scales thing. sounds cool.
How dare you speak out against LO! I shall beat you with a giant inflatable duck and then ban you to the lowest level of hell! ~Karmoon
My recruitment link!
I chose the green one cause it sounds good and looks good in my haed, they would also blend in with there enviroment.
CHK CHK BOOM!
If i where to ever start a lizardmen force it'd make the skinks the brights, and everything bigger and older more pale. So a skink would be a bright, fluorescent green and the old one a very pale, greyish green.
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

The Dutch Legion
Note that my Scar-Veteran is a Saurus, and my skinks are black with purple/yellow scales.
hey hows it going? Now i know you are just going to be painting an old one, but i have just recently started a lizardmen army, and the paint scheme i've started is a black/dark grey skin, with red/orange scales, so they have a slight chaosy/lava-y finish to them. i must say they look pretty dang good though lol.
for the skin over the black undercoat i used a mix of 2:1 black:codex grey and then 1:1 black to codex grey (im fairly certain) and then a wash of the new black color wash over (srry forget the name)
for the scales drybrushed mechrite red, then blood red, then blazing orange, then a wash of brown ink and then retouch blazing orange, then fiery orange.
the eyes are fiery orange, the metal is silver, and shield is a rocky brown color
if you wish, you could just try this on your old one, or your entire army

Hey guys? Need one more vote on the schemes, 'cause I really can't decide for myself, and there seems to be a tie going here.
bone skin brown scales sounds verry nice do that one

If someone helps you REP them...
i actually think brown skin bone scales would look better, but thats just my two cents
Okay, guys. A tie has been reached once more, and I think I'll go with the brown theme. Pictures later, if you want them.
