    The Puzzle of Tzeentch

    The Puzzle of Tzeentch
    Part two, Objective markers/ Terrain

In following the fluff I’m writing for my Thousand Sons, I decided to make some terrain to go with it! Simply made out of polystyrene I was able to create a nice rocky appearance.

I just got my tonsils out, so I have some spare time on my hands

    The Puzzle
I found this in a Kinder Surprise while I was on Outdoor Ed camp last week. It was a nice little puppy.
The puzzle is just the symbol of Tzeentch and the runes are just the Alphabet written out with a cool style of writing.

    The Stones
Simply polystyrene carved into the shape I wanted.
Sorry for all the lose pieces of white foam, they aren’t really attached.
I used black and grey paint mixed together, using about 5 different layers to get the look I wanted.

    All together
I think the final product looks really nice. And to be honest; It’s the first terrain project that I’ve actually finished! So I’m fairly proud of its outcome.
Of course, it’s nothing compared to Shonuff’s Adeptus Mechanicus Temple or Guant's Lava Pits or most people that hang about the Scenery forum, but I’m happy with it.

You've got some white showing through on the foam. It'd really just do that much more for it if you'd eliminate the white spots.

just one comment from me because i love the piece, esp because i am a fellow thousand sons player, anyway, my only comment is that the top right part of the majority of the puzzle thats on the larger piece of terrain is hanging over the edge of the wheathered part of the rock, now i dont know if that is what you were going for but maybe you could just wheather that corner too to fit in a little? its up to you of course

Bull****! This is an awesome piece of terrain! It's somethat i've never seen done. using something that is built for our size ( the puzzle itself) and making something like a puzzle with warhammer meaning behind it.. it being in the 40k sized universe, making the puzzle MASSIVE. i can see two thousand sons moving a single piece of the puzzle around, complaining as the sorcerer isn't sure where it goes..HA!)

The colors are rich and well painted. the Markers rock hard. This is a nicely done piece!
Only thing i would change ( if you could) would be to use non 'bubble' foam, use the blue or pink stuff. but other than that, it's classic! kudos man, regardless of foam.

    REP!

    EDIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But, just to show you why I earned my "scenery Shogun" title? You got your tonsils out yeah?
Little superglue...some red and black washes...and some gloss varnish... pop them bad boys on some bases..

    1. Paint eyes on them and some teeth...SQUIGS!
    2. pour resin gloss over them,...NURGLE PUSTULES!
    3. paint them green or black or whatever,...Tyranid Spores!

Shonuff, I seriously did not think that was possible. But somehow you managed.... to come up with a idea on making tonsils into something Warhammer.

But as he said your idea is very unique and I quite like the pieces. Good job.

that is the most disgusting scenery idea i've ever heard.

although it does sound very nurgley.
