Big Mek Sutmix da Grot Turna [WIP] Pic Heavy

First attempt at sculpting anything major (arm and fire):

Still need to do some touchups here and there and add some lighting from the fire.

    C&C welcome!

the sculpting is very good, just clean up the seam. also, flames go from light to dark, not the other way. it may make mini sense, but remember, they give off light too. otherwize the painting looks good. May I ask where you salvaged that backpack?

Thanks. Though I am aware that the fire itself is painted wrong, I saw an article on CMON (http://coolminiornot.com/article/aid/106/page/2) and liked the look of how it was done.

The backpack is the foot section of a SM bike, the blocky bit of a SM land speeder's sensor, and I believe the engine to a cygnar warjack .

Pretty good - as mentioned about the flame. Another thing I will add - and I'm not certain if it's the paint or the camera - is that the model looks very 'clean' for an ork. Rough up the metal on the gun a bit - make it look greasy and ramshackle not bright and shiny. A couple of washes of black/brown would bring a lot of the shine down.
    Still, good work.

yea its the camera..most of the metal looks like the gun in the fourth picture...as mentioned its still a WiP so I'll likely add a few more washes to bring out the rust along the edges more
