still away from year 12 after getting my tonsils out, my terrain making continued.
i saw this 'make your own volcano' thing for $2 and i thought 'why not?' and so i purchased it, made it and now!!!!!!!!
Mount Tu'Shan! (Salamanders Company Leader)
i simply melted a red candle down inside the mouth, and ran a bit over the sides to create a more 'realistic' lava flow.
thanks and hope you all like it! i think it turned out pretty well.

A melted candle? Really? Looks awesome I was thinking pva but that stuff can sometimes get out of hand really fast.
Nice looking though.
I question the hardiness of the melted wax to put up with gameplay but your on the right path. I use hotglue to get nearly the same looking results but hotglue is almost never chip or break, . . .only melt ^.^
i like the idea with the candle wax for the lava but just as a little comment, isnt the lava a little to red? idk, i was just thinking that you could maybe paint it a little more orangy-yellow to make it look more like realistic lava and less liek blood. just a slight, criticism, but overall, i really like the piece
