I found a great product to strip paint from the metal models and would like to share it with you guys, just in case you would like to know about it.

The product is Nitromors and you can find it at DIY shops (in Ireland at least).

Something that you have to be careful about it is contact with skin and eyes so be caraful to wear plastic (washing) gloves when handling it and maybe even googles. Also and this is very important do not wash it down with hot watter as it can damage your pipes specially the plastic ones which can even melt.

If by any chance you now of a product to strip paint from plastic models (without erasing the details) i would appretiate you sharing the knowledge.

If it is faster than 'oven off, thats great, but there is not a product I have seen that is faster. So, how long does it take to remove paint?

I think I'll stick with Oven Off. The stuff works within minutes.

I've been using nail polish remover... let the guys soak... watch a movie... some back and peal the paint off... there was another thing that worked good too... something in a car... radiator fluid... something like that... guys should know ... but it works like a charm too

    Zora: Brake fluid?

If the stuff melts your pipes then it's problably ILLEGAL to flush down!

Haha Hugus, I used Nitromors and I burned my hands.. They were burny for a good hour or two. But because of the strength of that crap, it will work faster than the oven stuff, since Nitromors is supposed to be put onto your walls to strip the paint from it. This is like heavy duty paint stripper.

    ZIM!

    haha

But yeah, it's Brake Fluid. I used it on my Hive Tyrant's head b/c he looked like a clown. It takes a lot of time and toothbrush scrubbing though.... I'm gonna have to give the oven-off stuff a try later on. That doesn't eat plastic does it?

As for any liquids that might eat away pipes, (mainly car fluid stuff) try taking it, after it's been used, to a auto-shop and ask if they will dispose of it for you. THey should do it for free, since all they do is pour it into the old drums with the rest of their old fluid.

    Nuh-uh, gotta get fancy! lol.

I don't exactly know how to use paint stripper (I assume it's really easy) but so is dumping a miniature into a tub of brake fluid .
