k, hakbash if u wouldnt mind can u also post ur bw up>
Well I dont know how to make it, but I do know how NOT to make it.
DONT use toy waggons/cars, dunno why? I suggest you bring it up with someone.
DONT make it all one thing, unless you like carrying Plastic Bags with a BattleWagon inside around town.
DONT Break it! Erm, this one speeks to itself. . .
Some Ideas have just come to me, How about using a Necron Monolith and take some parts off, give it tracks and whatever. Perhaps a LandRaider even, just leave the top off and build in some parts of Ork Veichels, it should work well, Im tempted to try it myself. . .
An ork battlewagon can be made of anything you want, as long as the model represents the transport capacity and heavy weapons you want, but remember it's open topped(isn't it?). It also needs to have a means of moving, tracks, wheels or hoovercraft platforms, maybe rotors.. or why not make it move on lots of ork dreadnought legs...
Some battlewagons I've seen have simply been big transporting tanks(landraider, chimera etc.) with ork shootas. Others where simply moving ork fortresses, build it like you build ork buildings(madmax style), and put it on wheels and tracks!
If you want to make a really original battlewagon, why not base it on some Xeno tank, like the Tau Devilfish, dark eldar raider or a falcon(don't make it a skimmer though, orks never understood antigrav technology), or as Space Cow suggested, use the Monolith. The monolith energy crystal is green, maybe you can make some fluff about the greenskins worshipping it, thinking it's a gift from Mork?
And the Lootas wear the green rods from the Gauss guns on their helmets and... Ohh! So many ideas...
Ave Dominus Nox!
1/35 scale plastic models tanks are also a nice source for parts
