Am I the only one who thinks the Hellcannon would be the SEXIEST thing to replace a Defiler's battlecannon with? Anybody actually have a Hellcannon? I'm really curious to know how many parts it comes in, and just how big the cannon part of it is, if it's practical to convert.
I have seen and held it, and it is WAY too big. It wouldn't fit at all. It's almost as tall as a Defiler on its own.
Awww, poop. That Hellcannon is so perfectly Chaos, I would have loved to use it somewhere in my Chaos Marine army.
Maybe we could create a deamonic siege gun with the VDR rules.
earthshaker or something similair
deamonicthis and that
and it's need a terrifying name
I think that a mildly converted Hellcannon would make one heck of an interesting Basilisk for Chaos, but it would of course have to be a bit different.
Here is my take on the idea..
Points - 175 (VDR cost)
Front Armour - 12
Side Armour - 11
Rear Armour - 10
Armour Crew Compartment
Hellcannon of Chaos (Basilisk Cannon for all rules purposes)
This vehicle may take upgrades from the Chaos Vehicle List, it already counts as having the Deamonic Possession ability already, It's Hellcannon may be upgraded to indirect fire at +25 points
Long ago these rolling monuments to Chaos were counted among the countless Basilisk Artillery Platforms across the Imperium. However the countless years spent in the Warp has horribly altered the vehicles and no two vehicles are alike. Each 'Hellcannon' as they have been dubbed does have one thing in common, the mighty deamon powered cannon itself, dominating the frame of the machine each cannon is infact the deamons itself, it has the ability to hurl projectiles of firey warp energy to long distances to destroy it's enemies and these firey displays of power are what earned the Hellcannon it's name.
Although it's little more than a closed up, possessed Basilisk it would have a good deal of character as the whole contraption was once a Basilisk but is now so insanely warped it is an entirely different vehicle.
