Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to post this, but i got a wraithlord a while back for my Alaitoc army and have been wondering what pose to put him in, and decided to try my hand at conversion, since its Alaitoc with a few pathfinders and i wanted him as a long range wraithlord i decided to model him off them, so am goin to have him kneeling and aiming with a hand held (sniper rifle) bright lance.
Heres what ive done so far.
Haven't posted images on here yet so not sure if it'll turn out ok.
The 1st image is the legs which i cut and bent then pinned and the second image is the legs and body blu tacked together.
Cool idea! Perhaps you could even model a camo-cloak on him, and have a bunch of trees/bushes or whatever on the base!
Yeah! i was thinking of that, but not sure how to make a cloak big enough, he does come with banners so maybe hang them from his shoulders?
Heres the legs after i green stuffed some knees for him.
And this is his "rifle" before and after... notice the sight.
Also his left hand that i had to bend and greenstuff his fingers so he grips the barrel.
I don't know if you've seen this already, but this conversion that you're doing is very similar to one on the UK GW website:
GW Online : Warhammer 40,000 : Eldar : Wraithlord Masterclass
Might be a useful source for some pointers if you've not seen it yet
@ chandrila, yes i had seen it its what gave me the inspiration, of course i had to take it that little bit further
@ danjones, that was him blu tacked so not the final pose. Have already done the legs so cant change it tho, even so he is a wraithbone construct so he cant be too flexible.
Thanks for the comments, this is my first conversion attempt so all critcism and tips welcome.
Had to do the arms as well as they didnt look right as normal, did them same as the legs just different angles.
