    Death Guard/Nurgle Soulgrinder

I've had this sitting around unpainted for awhile (my other one is Khorne), so I decided to paint it like my upcoming Death Guard army, the themes of which are rust and (obviously) Nurgle's rot.

Here it is, what do you think?

I think it's awesome. I like the mix of machine and flesh, and the dirt on the blades. Are the non-Defiler bits scratch-built?

Thanks. Which bits are you looking at? Everything on the model is from the Soulgrinder kit.

The colour of the skin looks too uniform for my tastes and there seems to be a crack between the two halves of the head visible. It's rather nicely done though.

I think it looks great, The flesh looks nice and grubby and the metal corroded. Rep for you.

Oh I see now, I had never seen that kit before. So I assumed it was a scratchbuilt Defiler conversion. Hm, nice kit.

    Looks great!
I would like to see a bit more contrast on it, but all in all, it looks wonderful.

I agree that it could use a little more contrast, but otherwise, it's lookin' good.

But one other thing. I'm not sure if this is just the picture, but I can't tell if the eyes are painted at all. His are rather deep set, but if there was something there to make the stick out a bit more, he'd look even better. Some kind of bright green, or a red, or something daemony.

That's good, it looks all gross, smelly and rotten. I like that it has no bright colours on it, this makes it work well as a Nurgle Soulgrinder. I think you could try to do a little more to it. The exposed areas of Daemon-meat that poke out of the skin could have a brown ink wash to make it look extra dirty. It is very good and nobody will wonder what it is or who it works for.
