Alright, the little conversion work I have done with GS has been facial hair, and cloth. But I Have no clue on how to do armor. I see conversion work with smooth precise edges and a rounded surface. I want to learn how. Firstly do you wear cloves as to not leave prints? Any help or direction to wear I could learn would be wonderful.
try Scibor's Monstrous
his work with armour is beyond compare and its what i learned to do armour with. He has articles and such on there too.
other than that, you can use gloves, but also use vasaline or water to get smooth edges

Gah, not Scibor, he can't sculpt most of it's done via moulds etc. And what he does actually do by hand sucks, but anyway.
Procreate is better for sharp edges etc and so is mulliput, maybe look into those for armour making.
