Ok, I've about run out of patience with my &@#^ lord model. I'm using the staff of light arm that comes in the destroyer lord box set.
Trouble is, the green gauss rod simply will NOT stick to the rest of the staff. I can't tell you how many times the thing has broken off, glued on again, broken off again, etc. It's too small to drill a pin into. Has anyone else ever had this problem? What can I do? It's an embarrassment at every game I go to.
I'm not sure what the model looks like, but perhaps putting some GS into the hole to fill it a bit would help? It sounds like the space for the rod is too big.
I'm using Krazy Glue.
Here (Clicky!) is a picture of the destroyer lord. I haven't modeled it quite like this, but I"m using that staff.
As you can see, the problem is getting the green rod to stick to the rest of the staff. The nub on the end of the rod is supposed to fit into a recess on the staff. I think it does, but... grr!
EDIT: I hope that link works. It goes to the destroyer lord photo on GW's US Web site.
