I'm new around here so greetings to everyone.
Plase check out my ultramarine:
It's my third miniature painted ever, so i think it's not bad,
but i know there is lot to learn, there are beautiful miniatures on this site.
(not to mention official gw paintings)
I would appreciate any comments, tips or advices.
p.s.: sorry, my english is not perfct

nice..for some reason it looks very classic, reminds me the first time i heard of 40k *gets all nostalgic*
Well it's pretty good for a starting miniature painting session...add more shadows And welcome to the boards!
Its look pretty good for a new painter although it is a little too nice and clean for a wartorn world i still wouldnt say that is a bad thing.
Good job, but if you've seen the colour scheme, it's so much better than the current one. I hate lellow. ¬_¬ <_<
Vary nice. I would be proud to field those. Maybe spay some dullcote to take care of that gloss.
If Wolves were meant to fly, wouldn’t the Emperor have given them wings?
Very good for your 3rd model! Your already painting better than a few of my friends tat have been painting for a long time.
Your colors do remind me of the classic ultra marines from way back, perhaps it’s the beaky head that does it.
All I can suggest is blending your highlights a little more and Base your mini with some flock or sand.
Again Very nice, your did a great job on the chest emblem, and the bolter looks great.
Welcome to LO.
It's a very good job for a newbie...
I've already commented it on the gallery itself but I don't mind doing it again...
I can hardly believe that this is one of your first minis... I think you should consider painting his eyes and painting and flocking the base as well... The base is also a part of the mini and is often neglected...
But besides that it's a very good mini which is high above average... Keep up the good work...
For a third model ever this is an absolutely excellent paint job.
At coolminiornot you'd get about 7pts for it, which is clearly above tabletop standard.
A Coolminiornot Ultramarine that scored exactly 7 pts
You are unquestionably highly talented.
I wish if i could spend more time with painting, but actually i'm studying for my electromagnetic fields exam :o(
About the painting: the eyes are painted also with blood red but the pic was taken at very poor conditions and thats why it is so dark. I plan flocking the base but i have just some poor quality flock and i don't want to ruin the model with that. That winged skull on his chest is also could be better, i like those sharp black shadows not this blury yellow-orange but i can't use wasing properly yet (i don't know, maybe if i could get some black ink, but the store i know here in Budapest (Hungary) ran out of that and i have to wait till they get some, i'm really corious about it.)
If i'll have some time, i'll try to make some blending effects. That looks awsome when blue turns into black on some parts of the armour. But imho what looks super cool thats the eyes of the marines in the rulebook (those gem like eyes) oh if i could paint eyes like those :o)
As i said before i have a lot to learn and practice. Thanks for your replies!
Have a nice day!
