I must admit, in the past I have spent far too long on each miniature - and its about time I started making an army instead! I'm currently building a 1500 point Imperial Fist army (mostly for an upcoming 1200 point tournament), and i've been basing the entire lot in an unruined (shock horror) hive city/factory/space ship setting.
I must admit, however, its been taking a while, and the architechural scale supply plasticard stuff i've been buying has been quite expensive.
But then I remembered this group of people I'd met at Arcanacon in Melbourne in Jan, - Back2Base-ix, and realised they had exactly what I wanted. And MUCH cheaper than building it all myself! Guess you can't beat industry.
Just got a batch of bases delivered today, and they seem to be pretty good quality - going to save me a whole lotta time.
Now I know this might go against the grain for a whole lotta purists here who prefer to make everything from the gound up, but I must admit, these things seem pretty good quality.
Just thought I'd give a word of mouth shout out for the dudes there!
And I'll have to give the rest of you a show when the army is finished- already won a painting comp with my new sergeant. (Not bragging, just proud. Ok, bragging a little). Can't wait to paint my twohanded thunderhammer dreadnought either. (And how psychic is that? Looks like i've already got one of those siege things we keep hearing about!).
P.S No I don't work for these guys
P.P.S Not sure what it'd be like for shipping outside Oz, but it's probably not too bad.
P.P.P.S Is this how you actually spell "basing"? Just doesn't seem right...
P.P.P.P.S Maybe I should use slashies (ie: // ) from now on instead of good ol' post scripting.

Also, you should google "garfield minus garfield". Awesome.
I had some delivered by air mail to the uk form Australia and the postage cost was very reasonable.
They arrived within 2 weeks which was also a nice surprise.

i've used quite a few of their bases and i have to say, of all the resin bases i've bought (i've bought from 3 or 4 different manufactures) these are my favorite. another big +++ for them from me.
I have used them for all my tyranid army though I bought from their ebay store...the basses are great and ths shipping was very reasonable.
Primary Army: Tyranids; Secondary Army: Space Wolves
It's Illeagle, but it' s not that illeagle. - John Public
Bookmarked. I probably wouldn't want to have that complicated of bases for every model in an army, but it'd be good for characters and heavy weapons teams. Better than scrounging up CoD bits from a friend.
Also bookmarked... and I had bought from them some ages back but from eBay...
They are doing a wonderful job on bases but they have a little resin flash that needs to be cleaned!
Thanks to all the people showing faith in me
I sometimes feel that everyone will leave me and they will be on their own...
I've heard recommendations for these guys before. Never seen their stuff up close though.
'T would be interesting to see some.
