Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hi i live in Norway and have noticed that in White Dwarf they always talk about textured paint and wonder where i can get it, or if there is an alternative ????
Hello Lord of Change! I live in Norway too.. I live in Frogner and go to school in Asker. Where do you live? Anyway you can get textured paint(teksturmaling/strukturmaling) in stores that sell paint(house paint not artistic), but the smallest bucket you will find is 3 litres... But in a nice little hobby store in Asker they sell Textured paint in small yoghurt sized buckets, and it's perfect! If you don't live in that area, just check out all the small hobby stores around, including those that are for womens hobbies(dolls, christmas decoration etc.).
Some people crush cat's sand into fine powder and mix it with PVA, instead of using textured paint  . Don't know how that works, and don't care, sounds like to much work.
Ave Dominus Nox!
Hi there crazy vikings... I'm one too!
3 litres you say... you're lucky, the closest store I got only sells them in 10 litre buckets...and they want like 500-800 kroner for them... that's about 75-115$
When choosing the paint be a little careful...one texture paint I almost bought was almost as thick flowing as filler!
Thanks for the tip and i will look around for some hobby stores and the like !!!!!!!!
Would Canvas Primer do? It's a very chalky white paint artists use for priming fresh canvas frames. It's relatively flexible and fine gravel/sand can be added for more grit.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
It could proparbly be used, but one has to add axtra gravel...
I can't say for sure how "rough" basic paint is but I'm sure you get the optimum effect when adding extra gravel.
