Sorry, I didnt realise there wasnt a forum for showcasing completed projects so i hope here will suffice...
This is it! ITS FINISHED! I think its taken around 18 months from conception to completion. So lets get straight into it….
I have a bit about this vehicle’s history written into my fluff but its easier to give you the short version; The planetary government authorized the secret creation of a new class of combat vehicle to reassure the populus by patrolling the streets and maintaining order, (i.e. intimidation) and to actively support their forces in military campaigns across the stars.
Rules wise I wish to play it a machirus, because frankly its too big to be any codex vehicle but too small to be a baneblade.
Enough talk, Presenting The Hiris Pattern, mark II Combat tank:
Apologies for some of the picture's quality, I was only using the family's digital camera.
Any comments are greatly appreciated, about my painting or construction, compliments or criticism I'll take it all.
Thanks for reading,
Now that...was cool...
Congratulations on finishing a truly massive project. It looks like something to be very proud of, Scott.
All I have to say is,
Kaboom yo, kaboom.

Great model! The painting is also great, loving the fine detail!
The chipped paint around the gaurds is honestly my favourite part because its hard to pull off well, at least I think it is and you did it wonderfully, the only thing I would say I don't like is the barrels thickness, but its purely an asthetic thing for me, a giant cannon like that needs a thick barrel wall to stop it splitting apart. Regardless, awesome work dude, does it count as a mini-baneblade?
Firstly, thanks to everyone for your really positive feedback! Much appreciated.
omgitsduane; It seems you have touched on both the thing I was most pleased with on this model, and the thing I was most disappointed with. I was quite pleased with the weathering, I'm glad to hear you liked it. Up until now vehicle weathering for me consisted of a drybrush of boltgun metal! So I really enjoyed testing my skills and trying something new.
And yes I was a little concerned about the barrels; they are just made from thin copper piping. It was the only thing I could find at my local hobby store so I just had to make do with what I had...
Btw I plan to play it as a macharius (Imperial armour 5) or maybe using the VDR rules for the first time.
Thanks again to everyone who posted,
Now that...was cool...
Where does one get their hands on the VDR anyway?
