Welcome to Librarium Online!
Ok, people, listen up!
There have been quite a few images being posted in the forums here that are unacceptably huge, and it's beginning to get annoying. Not only is it a slap in the face to kuffy who, in his stickied post here (Clicky!)
clearly indicates a "maximum size of 600 - 700 pixels," but it seems a bit rude for those posting such huge images to forget that there are some people in this world who use dial-up or otherwise slower-than-T1-line-speed Internet connections. Please think of these people and resize your pictures appropriately BEFORE posting them. It's not hard. There are LOTS of applications that can do it, and your camera probably came with some. If not, I can show you a free application that can do it. Just PM me for details.
For those who don't resize appropriately, your photos will be reduced to links.
In case you still don't get it.
ALL PHOTOS MUST BE NO LARGER THAN 600-700 PIXELS WIDE!!!
I sense I'm one of the offenders. I'll..ah, fixit.
That post is NOT singling anyone out, and is not meant to a verbal spanking of any one person.
It's just a response to what appears to be a growing trend in general.
Just to let everyone know, I'm entirely with Canew here.
700px is plenty big enough for your pics.
It's not too hard to remember, so please do it.
That way maybe he'll stop making work for us poor, broken painting mods...
*trembles in fear*
Seriously though folks, don't post big images.
I'm going to start issuing warnings and closing threads for it, from now on.
Cool kids resize!

Photobucket fixed my transgressions, and it can fix other peoples too! Do I get to be cool now?
GIMP is freeware and pretty good for your photo editing needs.
Might I make a suggestion? I have looked for this info several times and given up before finding it (obviously I was looking in the wrong place) - could it be added into the forum General Rules?
There are rules for the size of images in signatures, but not in posts.
This would have helped me and it may help others who are unsure
