Hi I want my fiends of slaanesh to have fur and decided to try and do it myself with green stuff. Ive not had too much practise with the stuff and was wondering if anyone has any tips/pics or guides as to how to make some good looking fur.
Ive found that if you just put a layer of gs over whatever you want "fur-ed" and keep running the sculpting tool down it, it works for more simple, streamlined fur, and easy to add the proper details in
To create short matted fur, apply a thick(ish) layer of greenstuff where you want the fur to be, then using a pointy tool, jab at it repeatedly. Jab jab jabbity jab! You'll find the greenstuff starts pulling away with your tool and creating strands of fur. Once youve got a general covering of fur you can go and tidy up any area's that look wrong or not furry enough. Thats the technique i used for my spider anyway, it took less than 10 mins to do the fur on the entire body.
Pictures for reference, not just showing off :soldier:
i have done loads of fur on my worriors of chaos and when i do furr i break a fundimental rule i use the green stuff as soon as its mixed (this makes it more stikey)
then i jab away to so go ahead:soldier:.
