Hey all, just felt like posting a few pictures of my Thanquol, and one of my Throt that I just took. I'm looking for all sorts of C&C, and hopefully I'll get around to posting more as I can. Thanks in advance for any constructive criticisms offered. These are some of the older models I've painted, and I probably have a few more up to date, which might be a little bit better painted, but these were what I had on hand, so let me know what you think. Thanks.

wow, skaven.. long time no see
looks good actually.
The gold looks a wee bit chunky, but pretty hard to get right.
try inking the golds with some watered down chestnut, to get a less bright result perhaps?
Hmm, I will have to look into that, maybe I will try that this weekend on another model. I think I had seen something like that used on someone else's gold and it didn't look half bad. The gold actually looks slightly better in person than in the pictures, the shininess is weird in the pictures, but it could still definitely stand for a little improvement.
I agree with arachnid a nice wash would do it tons of good
I love the white fur and the cute pinky skin also the purple cloth
Keep up the great standard on your next models!!!

Some of your paint looks a bit thick but it might be a camera trick (from how smooth some of it looks).
My main thoughts:
1)Nice faces- they look nice (but green horns?)
2)I hate gold.
Up, up and away!
Yeah, its definitely a camera trick, it's not on too thick, but the shininess of a lot of it contributes to it looking so with the camera. The green comes off a bit strange in the pictures, its actually a metallic green that looks goldish if you hold it at the right angle. I do need to work on the gold though. I'm guessing you are saying you hate gold in general, but either way, I definitely have some improvement to do on it. I think I'm going to try to get this moved to the projects forum, and then maybe add some more stuff.
Yup- it's a general hatred.
A black wash should tone it down somewhat, maybe with a little green in it.
Up, up and away!
