So, this guy is going to be my Honor Guard Champion or Chapter Master one day, I haven't decided, but he's coming along, and his base will be coming along soon, so I figured I might be able to get some comments and criticisms. I know it's hard to see since it's still all plastic, but I did my best to provide multiple angles and such.
Well, he looks great. Whats that scythe you used?
To me the only problem is that he is a little cluttered on his left side. i think it would look better if he just had the scythe and mabey flags. But thats IMO and its you model! i might do a chaos lord like that with the scythe!
The scythe is from the WFB Empire Flagellants box, as is the banner that is bolted to his jetpack. It's a great little box for chaos and loyalist SM conversions, I'll be using quite a few pieces in there at some point, as it includes some good heads, as well as appropriately sized whips and flails.
I'm personally leading towards more of an Honor Guard Champion kind of thing. Kind of a "Herald" of the Master, so to speak.
Awesome converison, it will look less cluttered once its painted, no doubt. The Scythe makes him look VERY chaos. If you could convert it into a giant axe of sorts it would look more loyalist.
However, thats just a very small detail about a very awesome conversion.
The way I've painted the Scythe, it might make more sense, and I'll get some pictures up later. The top of the actual blade is gold, with sepia washes, and the actual edge is mithril. The orb in the center of the top of the scythe is bright white, with black all surrounding it. It's supposed to look a bit like a Raven's head and beak...I'll try and get some pictures up in a bit.
