anybody have any ideas about what model i could use as a basis for a converted bloodthirster? i hate the gw version, and the forge world version is waaaay out of my price range lol
A lot of people feel the same way. I recently saw a nicely done Belakor with a red paintjob. A bonus of using that mini would also be that it could be used as either.
Alternatively, a converted 40k Daemonprince, if you're crazy-good with the greenstuffage.
Welcome to LO. The only two that I can think might work are the Balrog andGulavhar,The Terror of Arnor. Good luck!
The Great Plague meets The Devourer of The Galaxy. What does that make us?
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
nice, i may just save up for that lol ive never made or painted a resin model before though, so that might be an issue lol
There are plenty of guides around as its a bit more complex as you need to clean the mould release etc before painting.
Here is my photobucket which has pictures of my Bloodthirster (down the page). Leech-man/Worldeaters - Photobucket - Video and Image HostingIt might help you to converyt your own. Like you I don't like the GW model of the Bloodthirster. It looks like a giant, angry, bat-winged, red, ape. I repositioned the arms and gave it a Juggernaught head. I also added some more armour by using plastic skull keyrings I cut in half.
I've always thought a Balrog could work but it would involve alot of greenstuff to add armour to it. If i was any good with Greenstuff i would have tried it a long long long time ago
