I want to convert a tyranid ravener into a fiend of slaanesh, because I hate those models.
But I want it to look like a daemon, not a strange tyranid.
So, I'll take a genestealer head with feeder tendrils, flesh hooks or acid maw, and convert it so it will look less like a genestealer head anymore.
I will give it two scything talons, converted to look like the daemonette ones, and two rending claws(just 'cause there cool).
But, what about the body? and the back? tyranid bodies are huge, and just closing the external ribs with green stuff will make it look like a toad.
but if I remove them, then what do I do with the space?
and, I wanted to make a fin, like the mound of the champion of slaanesh in fantasy (warriors of chaos) Click Here.
but how do I make that?
it might sound dumb but maybe u could use a zombie body.
"First one in,last one out".
I don't know if Ravenors look lithe enough to be Slaaneshi. They're too chitinous, IMHO.
Have you considered converting them from the Fantasy Lord of Slaanesh's mount?
If you're dead-set on using a Ravenor, I don't really have an suggestions.
I have considerd it, yes, but I found it looks to much like a mount to be able to make a cool fiend. I want something centour like.
much like I did for my seekers, puting the upper body of a daemonette on a goblin spider riders spider.
I wanted to make the body belly into a(we call it a six pack) very VERY trained musculair belly, where you can actually see the 6 muscles of your belly.
But I don't know if it will work, or wether it will be cool or not.
so, I thought, maybe some of you guys have some suggestions...
You could always convert from Centigors. Then you've got one set of female Centauric abominations, and one set of male Centauris abominations. Very Slaanesh!
The Ravener is very tough to convert because it is metal. You may find it much easier to work with a plastic Tyranid warrior and simply use green stuff to give it a big tail. I think though in converting the Ravener you will have some of problems. If a Ravener is converted it may just look like a converted Ravener. Everybody will know it is a converted Ravener but you will need to make it look more like a Slaaneshi daemon conversion based on the Ravener. Tyranid fluff gives loads of reasons to convert Tyranids and many players do. What you need to do is turn the alien space snake into a Daemonic snake or demon worm.
I would suggest you remove all the parts that look Tyranid-like. Scything talons are the signature Tyranid weapon. If it still has these it will look very much like a Tyranid. I would suggest looking for claws or pincers to give it a Slaaneshi look. You could fill in one set of holes for it's limbs. Tyranids usually have six limbs so if it has less it will look less like on of them. This also has the benefit of you not having to find loads of limbs for it. You could remove the smaller pair at the bottom too to make it look extra snaky.
You should also try to remove it's mandibles and change the end of the tail. I would suggest using green stuff to make it longer and more slender. If you decide to use some Genestealer heads on it you should aviod the one with feeder tendrils, this head is again very much a Tyranid signature part. Try to clip off the ridges jutting out of the carapace on it's back. These are very Tyranid-like and removing them will help it.
The acid maw head is a good idea as it isn't seen that often. You could remove the acid-gland or sac under it's jaw. Also I think you should smooth down the head. Genestealers have that big alien head thing going on and this will make it look like Tyranid. Things like strange tentacles for hair that you could make out of green stuff would help to distance it from Tyranids.
Cant you just buy one from Forge world.

I have removed a lot of the exoskeleton, all of it on the tail. I have closed the waiste, and I removed the exoskeleton on the back of the tail.
I closed the gaps between the huge bulks on the back, and made it look life a fin, much llike the mound of slaanesh from fantasy.
The upper body remains in tact. I will paint the exoskeleton to look like wounds...
the skeleton on the back remains in tact, with the fin added to it.
I have cut the scyting talons, and changed them into crab like claws, like daemonettes have.
He will have two setsa of arms...
these pincers, and a pair of genestealer hands, with the pincers below, and the normal hands at his shoulders.
the 3th socket of arms has been closed(smallest one)
I was going to use Feeding tendrils, but your probably right.
can I somehow make, snake hair? like medusa? are there little snakes or something for sale?
or is there some other daemon head which I should use?
