Im new in the page, and relative new painting warhammer 40.000 , i collected time ago some marines and warhammer lord of the rings , but now i decide take this seriusly. I began buy and collect WH to make a 1500 or more points army.
I began to paint yesterday, i try paint my Dawn of War scheme ( i dont like copy pre-make schemes like sacred rose etc..) and i want some advices or opinions because i didnt paint warhammer for 2 years.

it looks really good, but what would make it look 100 percent better is if you gave the gold a wash of the new citadel washes, like the sepia
chaos marines have the chaos gods on their side, but space marines have games workshop on theirs
i would do a brown base coat before the gold, then hit it with delvan mud afterwards. nice painting.

firstly welcome to the hobby in earnest I am glad you have decided to leave LoTR behind and move into the more interesting aspects of GW. The mini looks great although i do suggest a wash of badab black from the new foundation paints on the armour. I recently bought this and it does the trick and really blends the model nicely. Lastly I am glad you picked WH which are a fantastic army and can become a fun and original force to play.
