    Forgeworld Etched Brass

    Chaps,

have been looking at the sculpted shoulder pads from GW ...and then a mate of mine showed me Forgeworld's Etched Brass ..has anyone used this?

Are they easy to use? Can you smooth them onto Marine shoulder pads?

They are a bit painful to smooth over to be honest, without really getting some tooling to bend them over the compund curvature of a sm shoulder pad surface, they are more for large, smooth, flat areas. If you can recreate that curvature and then gently form the brass around it, I see now problems, but wouldn't try shaping them over a plastic shoulder pad piece...

Well, I haven't used them on shoulderpads as of yet, however... I'm using some icons on my Land raider for example.

With shoulderpads I would bump in to one of the same problems i'm having now. The brass bits are so small that glueing them would be a pain. And since it's superglue that drys really fast it leaves marks...

but maybe i'm just a bit clumsy
