Does anyone know whether or not Delta Ceramcoat paints can be used on 40k models? Ive been trying, but im not exactly sure if its good or not.
I've used it on a squad of guardsmen, and they've turned out lookin' pretty good, actually. That and the Plasma Gunner Joe.
His pants, helmet and body armor are a mix of a handful of delta paints, while his shirt is a mix of a couple other brands.
All in all, I've actually worked with Delta for a very, very, very long time, and I've always been pleased by 'em. Mind you, most of that work was on canvas, walls or already-kiln-fired ceramics,
they're not that bad, I've used them to paint my entire dark eldar army back in high school. I think it was X-Mas red I used, got the big 3 dollar bottle during x-mas at micheals lol. They work great if you want that color GW doesn't make and you don't want to mix 3 pots worth of it lol. I definatly sugest them if your short money or you need a specific color. 99c a bottle you can't go wrong
oh, the only thing I don't like that delta has is the metalics, they go on so fricken thin it's anoying.
Tomb Kings, Marines, Eldar
Thanks for the help dudes:
@Zeewulf: Good job on the plasma-dude. The thing is though, is that im not exactly sure what the ratio of water to paint is for DC, cause its diff than Citadel paints as far as i can tell.
@Zora Blade: Sweet. Ive been using the Pearl White for some of my armor and weapons, Purple for my weapon color for my Space Marines, and Amethyst for some Pre-Heresy Emperors Children that ill paint eventually... Its just that ive tried usin the colors, but they go on kinda weird on my minis. They seem to clump up a bit, or just not spread around right.
I use them all the time, along with several other craft store brands, as the selection of colors is vastly superior to GW. They all need serious thinning before use is my only complaint if it can be called that.
Yes, there are female marines and my Sunhawks will let you know in a major way.
Not all the Emperors Children turned coat. We will redeem our name.
I use some of there colors along with folkart brand. I often thin them out to a consistency that i am comfortable working with. Its just trial and error for me to get the right thinness for the paint.
