    Empire bloke

Just thought I'd throw up this Empire guy my friend let me build out of spare sprue's he had. The top half is done, I just need to do any belts etc around the legs, and base, then I'm done.

I actually took some decent photos this time as it's 3pm rather than 2am.

    C&C Welcome.

I read that first and was expecting something very different!

Not bad at all, overall a very dark paint scheme, but a lovely face.
Also never under estimate how a good looking base will make a miniature
look much better. I live with two rules which have proven true in many of life’s lessons.

Face AND Bases make the miniature – atleast you got the first bit going right, so well done for that.

Cheers. I tend to paint very dark models, and tend to edge towards a very 'clean' painting style. I may upload a picture of a couple of models my friend has done, which are almost the opposite as mine. He tends to highlight up to as bright as he can, but drybrushes a lot, and uses a lot of washes, which creates a very dirty, and different style to my own. A source of a lot of teasing between us.

However, my Tzeentch models are very bright. If you want to look here (Fantasy Tzeentch).

This is quite true. I think this Empire guy looks good due to the dark colours you have used. It makes him look like he lives in a kind of olden times place. I think you could work on making him look a little more rough as Empire types often are.
