I realy don't like placing my defiler with the new terrain rules so I've been trying to figure out a new way to make him look and work better with the static trees/terrain. I was wondering what you guys thought about this, it's been going threw my head for a couple months now.
I'd use a Leman Russ tank body to the area where the spider legs normaly go. Then connect the big claws as arms on the torso. As for the weapons besides the battle cannon, I'd probably put the flamer/havoc launcher mounted in the front of the leman russ hull, like how the front weapon normaly goes on that tank. as for the auto cannon mabe put it comming off a side as a sponson. I could also wrist mount the auto cannon and flamer/havoc launcher on the big claws.
Well I don't know what to do, I have an extra leman russ box laying around doing nothing. Just need to get the defiler, would be kinda neet to have a Jonny 5 defiler running around
Tomb Kings, Marines, Eldar
it would work but plan it out well before you start!
If your concern is it being visible, you using other parts that are not the same size as the orginal model won't help. Your model if converted would still need to be the same size as the model it represents. It might be a neat idea but completly not legal for the exact reasons you want to do this. YOU can however take the kit and model the legs so it doesnt stand as tall but you can not make it smaller.
