hey guys, i usually stick to 40k hwoever i do have some fantasy, i started up some O&G a few months ago, here i finally decided to go out and snag some Fanatics, and i came up against rope... yes rope.
I painted it a couple shades of brown but it doesn't look right... anyone know a decent way to color up rope
Usually a bone white base with a brown ink glaze or even a flesh ink glaze, and highlighted again with bone white and white is usually sufficient.

Paint GW Bestial Brown over a black bascoat. Drybrush, lightly, Bleached Bone over the brown. Brown ink over the Bleached Bone with a ratio of 3 parts water and 1 part brown ink. Finally, use a final drybrush of Bleached Bone to give highlight.
That way has worked for me. Hope it does for you.
